For 7+ years, I was a Lead Designer on brand identities and product UI/UX development for PureGym’s national and international campaigns, presale, franchising, internal initiatives, member offerings and supported annual events. Developing both the brand evolution over the last decade and it's implementation across digital channels.

For national campaigns 2016 - 2023, I managed the development and rollout of the peak offers. These projects always needed to meet stringent requirements and push a large quantity of information, balanced with a focus on beautiful photography by Martin Brent and video footage of our members and the gym space.

Pronounced ”Campaign King” within Marketing, I delivered peak promotion creative from conception, development, direction to rollout across print, web, email comms, organic and paid social and TV. I was nominated for a “Sweat the Detail” award at PureGym’s business awards 2017 for my innovations and development of the national campaigns, introducing data based automations across media during key peak promotions. Thankfully this was simplified in later years for a more efficient process moving the focus towards digital channels over print.

Everybody welcome… to join us.

My primary objective when starting the role at PureGym, was to use my web development experience to improve the online user join process. PureGym’s only means of buying membership, is through their online platform, and with 70% of it’s 1.7 million users joining through a mobile device, improving the process was key.

Working closely with both the App team in London and the Website devs in Southampton, I provided an iterative approach to fundamental changes to the user journey. This resulted in reduced drop rates, improved accessibility and saw a great increase in conversions following development launches in 2018 and 2022.
